Live Bac Bo is the latest casino game from Evolution. This game features Player, Banker, and Tie bets. Instead of cards, the game uses a pair of dice for the Player and the Banker. Players must select one of three outcomes to win in Bac Bo.

Bac Bo Overview

Evolution has released an exciting, new live casino game. It’s called Live Bac Bo. This thrilling table game is fashioned off the hugely popular game of Baccarat, with some major modifications. This Asian-themed attraction is peppered with exciting features, including lots of dice action to shake things up. By including a pair of dice for the Player and the Banker's hands respectively, live casino players can enjoy a brand new style of play.

Live Bac Bo is a fusion of Baccarat and Sic Bo with blue dice for the Player and red dice for the Banker. Recall that Sic Bo a.k.a. Tai Sai or Big and Small, uses three dice, with players wagering on the total of the three dice, or different combinations thereof. The house edge in Sic Bo ranges between 3% - 33%. Live Bac Bo is entirely different. Since it is based on Baccarat, it also showcases the option of scoring a win on the Tie Bet.

Live Bac Bo does not use an automatic card shuffling machine – a shoe. There’s no need for one. The dice in each compartment are quietly bounced around with an automatic system to ensure 100% random results. That means no game resets are needed. The seamless flow of Live Bac Bo ensures that players can get started at any time since each result is completely random. Plus, when Player and Banker bets match, there are handsome payouts on Tie bets.

How Live Bac Bo Differs from Traditional Baccarat

Live Bac Bo and Traditional Baccarat bear many similarities, but it’s their differences that make Bac Bo the must-play casino table game. Live Bac Bo features dice instead of cards. In Baccarat, cards are dealt from a continuous card shuffling machine. In Bac Bo, there is no card shuffling machine. The dice are placed into recessed, circular holders where they are randomly shaken using machine technology. There are two recessed shakers for both the Player and the Banker. One dice is inserted into each shaker for the Player (for a total of two), and the same applies to the Banker.

In traditional Baccarat, the dealer takes bets and deals cards to players based on their preferences: Banker, Player, or Tie. In Bac Bo, the rules are simplified and the mystique of Baccarat is largely removed. What’s left is an easy-to-play variant of Baccarat known as Bac Bo. As the dice are shaken in their respective shakers, they come to rest at different times. This makes it exciting since it builds anticipation for players. As with traditional Baccarat, players are tasked with selecting the winning hand – the Player or the Banker. In Baccarat, the Tie bet pays 8:1, but in Bac Bo, the Tie Bet pays up to 88:1. The dice represent numbers 1 through 6. The total of both dice represents the total of the Player's hand or the Banker's hand.

Game Rules: How to Play Live Bac Bo

Bac Bo is played with a pair of dice for both the Player's hand and the Banker's hand. The Player's hand uses blue dice. These remain in shakers that randomly shake the dice, one at a time. As each one comes to rest, the totals for the Player and the Banker are calculated. Players simply bet on the Player, the Banker, or a Tie bet to determine which hand wins. As with traditional Baccarat, the highest winning hand total is an 8 or 9 – deemed Naturals in Baccarat. To determine the hand totals, players simply need to add the value of each dice outcome together.

Consider the following examples:

  • Player – 6 + 2 = 8
  • Banker - 5 + 6 = 11

In this example, the Banker has the ‘higher’ value hand upfront, but based on the rules of Baccarat this is not the case. Any hand value greater than 9 automatically has the tens digit removed. In this case, 11 becomes 1. Therefore, the Player wins since the Player’s hand total is 8 which is greater than 1. A few more examples will highlight how Bac Bo works.

  • Player – 6 + 6 = 12
  • Banker – 6 + 6 = 12

Result: Tie bet wins. Player and Banker bets lose, but Tie bets win since both results are identical.

  • Player – 4 + 6 = 10
  • Banker – 5 + 4 = 9

Result: Banker bet wins since the Player bet has a value of 0. The Banker’s total is a Natural and is the best possible result in Bac Bo.

Once the game begins, the Player’s dice come to rest first. Then the Banker’s dice come to rest. Either the Player or the Banker wins, or a Tie result occurs. If after the first dice shake, the Player’s total is higher than the Banker’s total, then the Player’s second dice will start to shake. The dice shake begins with the Player, then the Banker, then the Player, then the Banker. With every successive dice shake, the level of excitement grows. Players can gauge what score is required on the final dice shake to win or tie the game. This helps to keep the game engaging on every play.

Where are the 10s Jacks, Queens, Kings, and Aces in Bac Bo?

Bac Bo uses dice not playing cards. As a result, the game is much simpler to understand and to play. The dice totals range between 1 – 6 on any given roll. On the second dice roll, any combined Player or Banker hand total greater than 9 has the tens digit removed. In effect, there are no 10s, Jacks, Queens, or Kings. But the Aces are 1s.

What is the maximum payout in Bac Bo?

The maximum payout depends on the size of your bet. The bigger your bet size, the bigger your winnings if results go in your favor. For example, a winning Tie bet can pay up to 88:1 on your bet.

When is the final result determined?

In Bac Bo, the Player dice are rolled first. Then the Banker’s dice are rolled. The dice rolls alternate between Player and Banker – one apiece. Once the second Player and Banker dice rolls have been completed, the result is determined.

Are RNGs or continuous card shuffling devices used in Bac Bo?

No. The dice shakers are simply mechanical devices that bounce the dice around to mimic a legitimate dice roll. These mimic an authentic dice roll which is as random as an RNG. Since no cards are in play, there is no continuous card shuffling devices either.

Is Bac Bo an Asian-themed casino game?

Yes! Bac Bo is a combination of two incredibly popular games that are loved and enjoyed in Asia. These include Baccarat and Sic Bo. Since this game does not use cards, it’s more like Sic Bo (a popular Asian dice game). The oriental elements add to this game’s allure with players.
